David Letterman
Late Show with David Letterman (CBS) - I bet you thought I was going to say Howard Stern. Well, he's a very close second. Dave though, he was the one that a young 13 year old Peter found one night, all alone with his new color TV he got for his birthday. It was there in the late night abyss I discovered the art of sarcasm from the master himself, Dave. Many a sleepless Summer night I spent watching this off beat late night host. During the day I repeated his jokes and monologue to somewhat amused family and friends.
Howard Stern
"The King of All Media" Howard Stern - More than just a "Shock Jock," Howard is a true innovator. Howard sets the bar, you either aspire to be better than Howard Stern, or you're not as good as Howard Stern. He's the end all be all, period! You show me a person in radio that doesn't respect Howard, and I'll show you a sniveling little jealous no talent disc jockey that secretly wishes they were Howard. Howard IS the King of All Media, and I am now a proud subscriber of ah-eh-eh (Sirius).
Scrubs
The OfficeScrubs (NBC) - Always a tough choice, so many shows, so little time… This is a little show I discovered late (like Lost), but thanks to Netflix and an hour and half commute on the L.I.R.R. I was able to discover the sheer brilliance in this very underrated comedy. Cleverly written, well acted and artistically filmed, what more could a couch potato ask for? From J.D.’s (Zach Braff) moronic internal monologues to Dr. Cox’s (John C. McGinley) endless sarcastic string of insults, I find myself laughing aloud on a crowded train.
Antonio 'Tony' Montana
Scarface
(1983) - "Say Hello To My Little Friend...." In 1980 Miami, a determined Cuban immigrant takes over a drug empire while succumbing to greed. OK, so move the story to Long Island, change it to a grandson of an Italian immigrant, add a '77 light blue Camaro and replace drugs with bootleg software and this is SO my life! You have to just laugh when art immitates life.

Genesis - Phil, Mike & Tony
Genesis - One of the most successful rock acts of the 70's, 80's and 90's, Genesis enjoyed a longevity exceeded only by the likes of the Stones, in the process providing a launching pad for the superstardom of Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins.

Being an avid Phil Collins fan (required 80's listening), I discovered this band back in high school. Their Invisible Touch tour was my second concert (Billy Joel being the first), 3rd row baby! Certainly helped that the video store I worked at was also a Ticketmaster outlet.

Unlike the many artists I've seen over the years (life in radio), Genesis is one of the few I can still listen to today. I therefore dub them, "Favorite Artist."

Jennifer Garner - YUMMY!Jennifer Garner - For a while I saw her as just eye candy, then I got to know Jen. While I've yet to explore all of her work I rather enjoyed her week after week in Alias, and even more so on the silver screen in 13 going on 30.
Avril Lavigne - Pop TartAvril Lavigne, The Best Damn Thing - She sure knows what the kids like, and man can she crank out the hits, from Skaterboy to Girlfriend, I'm there singing along. She's like, so whatever...
Captain PicardJean Luc Picard - Make it so! Purists may call it blasphemy, but not even James T. Kirk could have handled the Borg like Locutus, “resistance is futile… number one.” ENGAGE!!!
Smile!I suppose the best part about my sister in laws, besides now living 700 miles away... well of course the endless hours of amusement I get from torturing the hell out of them. Got to love them holidays!
